I have been ordering Angry Birds Go! merchandise through Amazon, as a part of my mission to use these angry birds go! toys and review them :)
The latest Angry Birds Go! toy that I am going to review is the Angry Birds Go! Telepods - Pig Rock Raceway Set. In case you are not familiar about Angry Birds Go! telepods you can check this post to get more details.
I ordered my pig rock raceway few days back and got it delivered yesterday. The game costs 29.99$ in amazon. The box had three pigs(I love Bad piggies :D) which you can use as main obstacle, racing track which is 35 inches long(advertised as 40 but in real it is 35 inches only), two cars one having the red bird and the other with the pig, launcher, instruction manual and some cool stickers. There is also a telepod stand which is shaped like a trophy and you can use it to teleport the cars into the angry birds go! game when it launches on December 11.
Set Up:
Setting up Angry Birds Go Pig Rock Raceway is very easy. You can blindly follow the instructions and can assemble the track and set the obstacles in under 5 minutes. Once it is done, its time to race.
Playing Experience:
I played the game with my friend for an hour and had a great time. I first raced as green pig and then swapped to red bird after half an hour. Both the cars ran very smooth and the tracks were amazing. We hit the pirate pig most of the time and raised the flag to win.My friend played better than me, but I expect to defeat him next time when he turns up to my place, as I have been practicing for some time.
Build:
The cars which takes maximum wear and tear is very nicely built and it has bearing on the bottom for smooth movement on tracks. Also I was able to see the QR sticker in the bottom of the car, that would be read through the telepod stand to my iPhone when I use it for teleporting the cars to the game. The tracks and the obstacles are made of rigid plastic and can last a life time.
Verdict:
Angry Birds Go! Telepods - Pig Rock Raceway Set is a must have racing toy for Angry Birds fans and I thank Rovio for doing a commendable job :) I give this game a solid 5
